Join us for a mid-week pause for rest and reflection in our contemplative service. that includes singing, readings and a short message at the end of the service. The Contemplative service takes after the techniques of taize worship, characterized by deeply focused prayer and song. We hold our contemplative service every Tuesday starting at 6:30 in Cana Chapel.
Currently, our focus is on the Spanish mystics St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. These two famous saints of the 16th century reformed the Carmelite order of monks and nuns. We will use the poetry of St. John of the Cross for our readings. St. John’s poetry is considered to be some of the finest Spanish poetry ever written.
