Learning Communities

Classes, or Learning Communities at the Cathedral are ways to be introduced to spiritual topics led by experienced teachers or pastors. Learning Communities are offered on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings and offer opportunities to grow theologically as well as examine specific issues and practices related to faith. Ric Shewell, FUMC's new Youth Pastor, will lead this one day class designed for parents and other interested adults.

Disciple Bible Study

If you desire an engaging study of God's Word in a small group setting, Disciple Bible Study may be just for you! A broad 33-week trek through scripture from Genesis to Revelation, Disciple 1 tells the amazing story of God's love for and covenant with His people. The study helps participants understand how the entire Bible relates as a whole. This study focuses on a transformational experience – not just information. This class begins Sept. 15th and will end around mid-May with several weeks off during the holidays.

Time: Wednesday's from 6:30-8:00pm, beginning Sept. 15th

Beth Moore Bible Study

"The Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob," by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience five days a week for this in-depth women's Bible study of Genesis 12-50. Discover God's pursuit of a relationship with man, and marvel as His plan to bless all people unfolds. Throughout 10 weeks of exciting, engaging intrigue, participants will plunge into the heart of Genesis, to God's remarkable pursuit of relationship and to the unfolding of His earthly plan: that through one nation—and ultimately, one man—all people on earth will be blessed.

Time: Starts Sept. 15th (Wednesdays 6:00-8:00pm)
