About Sunday School
The preschool and kindergarten classes use the fantastic curriculum, Faithweaver, which weaves God into our daily lives. Faithweaver Spring 2008 Schedule.Our children in grades 1st through 6th explore different bible stories through a teaching method called the Rotation Model. Some of our rooms in the basement have transformed into an art studio, computer lab, theater, culinary café and a storytelling/drama room.
Here’s the Workshop Rotation Model in a nutshell: Teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops: For example….an Art workshop, Drama, Games, Audio Visual, Storytelling, Computers and Culinary Arts. Teach the same Bible story in all of the workshops for four or five weeks rotating the kids to a different workshop each week. The same teacher teaches in each workshop for all five weeks – teaching the same lesson week after week (with some age appropriate adjustments) to each new class coming in.
Here’s why it works: The Workshop Rotation Model concentrates on the major stories of the Bible over and over again. The model’s philosophy recognizes that kids not only love repetition, but they need it to develop a lasting memory and understanding of content. The Model says “we’re teaching children,” and we want them to come back. Each room is organized around a specific teaching medium. Theater workshops can sprout theater seats and a popcorn machine. Drama workshops get a stage and accumulate props and lighting. Computer workshops get dedicated secure space for their equipment. Art Workshops become messy exciting places to learn.

Sunday school in offered at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 AM. Visiting children are always welcome!

Special Events:
We have several special events through out the year. Many are educational and some are just plain fun! These events are a wonderful way for parents and children to meet new people. Children from the community are encouraged to participate. Click here for a printable registration form (PDF).
