David Young joins the music staff as Associate Organist at First United Methodist in August. In that capacity he serves as organist for the 9:00 traditional service, as well as principal accompanist of the Epworth Chorale. Formerly he held the organist position at All Saints Episcopal Church (Boise), and served as Organ Scholar at the Cathedral of the Madeleine (RC) (Salt Lake City). He currently volunteers as organist of the Boise North Stake (LDS).

David's Bachelor of Music degree is in organ at Brigham Young University. During his undergraduate studies, he toured Germany, Holland, England, Italy and France, studying and playing over 60 sixty historic pipe organs.

Thereafter, David graduated from law school at the University of Idaho. He is currently employed as a Deputy Attorney General for the Idaho Attorney General's office. He is active in the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and teaches private organ instruction. David and his wife, Adria, live in Boise and stay active with their three children.
